The Nokia 6120 Classic - What a package!

Ok, on first glance the Nokia 6120 Classic doesn’t exactly make you go weak at the knees, but look beneath the surface and this is actually quite a remarkable little phone.

For a start it is equipped with the latest HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) which means it can download songs and videos at up to 3.6 Mbps. To put this in perspective, the first Nokia phone to be released with HSDPA was the N95, which is a staggeringly well equipped handset.

It is a 3G phone with a decent 2″ display in 16 million colours, has a respectable two megapixel camera on the front, and a second camera on the front for making video calls. It runs on the Symbian S60 operating system which means that you can add your own applications to it.

What is truly impressive about this phone is the sheer amount is packs into a meer 89 grams (lighter than any other Nokia phone we’re selling at the moment), at a very reasonable £160 before tax and subsidy. A phone to bring high speed downloading to the masses!

Mobile Gazette, the marathon phone reviewers have called this Nokia’s best phone ever, and they see a lot of phones!

It should be with us in the next couple of months and you can expect it to be positioned somewhere alongside the current Nokia 6300.

Since it also sports a built-in accelerometer, you can also enjoy with screen auto rotation of Nokia E66, as well as silencing of incoming calls when the device is facing down

Nokia N86 Overview

Nokia has finally decided to formally announce the Nokia N86, its brand new 8 megapixel camera phone that it inadvertently showed off to the world in Singapore when the rest of the mobile phone world was at MWC 2009 in Barcelona. Now the full details have been released, we can see that the N86 is, firstly, a cracking camera phone, at least as far as the camera part is concerned; but secondly, not exactly as innovative a device as you'd expect from an N-Series phone.
The Nokia N86 is a camera phone first and foremost. Nokia has also bestowed it with GPS, a compass, geo-tagging of pics, HSDPA, N-Gage, 8GB of internal memory (expandable up to 24GB), and a superb battery that can withstand 25 hours of solid music playing. However, it's the camera that really stands out on the N86. The camera is 8 megapixels, but this is nothing new for 2009 - all the major manufacturers were showing off 8 megapixel cameras at MWC, while Sony Ericsson were showing off their 12 megapixel camera phone, the Idou. What makes the Nokia N86 different is its camera's quality - it really should push into dedicated digital camera territory.
